My patients tend to wait for a while before seeing me in the clinic. Many people also notice the pair of paper lamps on the second floor while waiting.

The lamp is hand-made over a period of 12 months by Ms Junko Kobayashi (via Nagaharu Paper Ltd.), a renowned paper artist from Japan. These lamps are made from renewable tree barks and hemp fibres. The lamp production aims for low pollution output. At the centre of the lamp there is a honeycomb which symbolises safe living spaces for babies. The outer part of the lamp is shaped like peony petals but also look like placenta so to symbolise the beauty of maternal-fetal connection.

Thank you for taking a look at the artworks in my clinic. I appreciate you coming to see me and would like to share a few little things about the clinic.

P.S. We are in the process of improving waiting time for our patients. Please be patient in the meantime :)
